How do we assess an offer?

How does the offer function work?

The “Make an Offer” function is an option on our website. The green button to make an offer is located on the picture of each product and is labeled “Want to make an offer?”. Once you click the button, you will need to fill out a form to submit your offer. After submission, the appropriate team member will review your offer and will either email or call you to inform you if your offer was accepted or rejected. Please note that if you prefer not to fill in the form, you have the option to email us or call us to place an offer. Offers made via phone calls are processed quicker than those made through the website.

What is the offer function?

The “Offer” function on our website operates very similarly to how eBay offers work. It allows you to ask the business if we would accept a different price for the product. Please note that the offer function applies only to the product itself and does not include delivery costs. Regardless of the price offered, you will need to pay an additional delivery fee if you are outside of our free delivery zone and cannot collect the item.

How long does it take to approve an offer?

It can take up to two working days to get an offer approved or declined, depending on our workload. During peak season, it may take up to three working days to respond to your offer. While giving us a call may speed up the process, this is not always guaranteed. All offers are assessed by senior management during specific time slots, so response times may vary based on our daily activities. However, you will hear back from us, no matter the delay.

How do we assess an offer?

When it comes to offers, we check the historical information we have about the item, its market demand (how many people were interested in it), and the duration the item has been in our warehouse. Based on this information, we will assess your offer and get back to you. Only senior members of our team can assess the offers; therefore, please note that our customer support staff cannot accept an offer straight away.

How do I make an offer?

You can make an offer by filling out our offer form, accessible by clicking the green “Want to make an offer?” button located on the picture of each product. Alternatively, you can give us a call to place an offer.

Why do you have the offer function?

The offer function is primarily for pre-loved items, though we reserve the right to accept offers on new ones as well. Our products are unique, much like used cars, and their value depends on customer needs. While we price them fairly based on historical data, some items can be difficult to sell. If an item remains in our warehouse longer than planned, we may accept an offer. Please note that we do not always accept offers; sometimes we receive multiple offers for the same item, and we may choose to wait for a buyer willing to pay more. In essence, we strive to be as fair as possible prices are calculated using a sophisticated formula and a database of historical prices.

What happens if I place an offer and the item is sold before my offer goes through the sales process?

Placing an offer does carry the risk of the item being sold before your offer is processed. Accepting an offer can be a lengthy process, and it’s possible for an item to be sold during that time. If this happens, we will notify you that the item has been sold. There have also been instances where an offer was accepted, but the item was sold to another buyer before we could finalize your purchase due to the faster processing time of direct sales through our sales department. The only way to secure an item is by paying a deposit. If your offer is accepted and you wish to view the item before finalizing the purchase, please be aware that the item may be sold in the meantime. An item is only secured once at least a deposit has been paid.

I want to place an offer on an item, but the offer button is missing.

For high-demand items or items that have been in stock for only a short period, we are unable to accept offers, as these items have been available for just a few days. You are welcome to give us a call to discuss, but the likelihood of accepting any offer on these items is very low. For items that have been in stock for a short time, we tend to set very competitive prices.

Can I make an offer on delivery costs?

Our delivery costs are calculated based on your location and are fixed fees. We strive to keep them as low as possible and ensure they are competitive; therefore, we do not accept offers on delivery costs.
