1930s Original Gothic Style Reclaimed/Antique Wooden (Pine) French Doors, painted in White.

Bespoke made by a professional joinery company to a very high standard.

The door thickness is 5cm compared to the standard factory 4.4cm.

Condition

• Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
• Not bowed at all.
• Wood chips in places, but this is normal with older wooden doors – nothing a professional sanding down and repaint wouldn’t cover.
• Chips on the putty that holds the glazing together, which you may need to reapply.
• All hinges may have to be replaced, however, these can be purchased online at a low expense and fitted easily.
• Missing a rain sill on one door, however a competent carpenter would be able to fit a replacement.
• Bottom of the doors is slightly rotted. Rot is very small on the main door. But is about 12 cm wide and 20 cm high on a corner of the other door. Also, signs of rot can be felt along the width of the same door 5 cm high from the ground externally (see last photos). However, a competent carpenter would be able to treat and/or replace these sections of the doors.
• There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.

Security

• Has bolt locks on the inside for extra security.
• Multipoint locking system making it very secure.
• Comes with 1 key for the main lock and 1 bolt key.

Opening

• Internally opening doors.
• When viewing from the outside, the main traffic door is located on the left.
• These doors have no external handles, so can only be opened and locked from the inside. This offers higher security and a more aesthetically pleasing look.

Glazing

• Glazing is original 7 mm thick single glazed and clear.
• Each pane is separately glazed, making it easier to replace any if required and offers extra security. 
• It also gives that high quality appearance with the Gothic Georgian Bars externally and internally.
• One small pane of glass is missing currently, however, it is already on order and would come with the product upon delivery. Please note, this would need to be installed by your fitter or glazier.

Colour

• The door externally and internally is painted White, however, you can easily sand it down and re-paint in your choice of colour.
• The handles are Solid Brass.
