1930s Reclaimed Wooden Front Door
1930s Original reclaimed/antique Wooden Hardwood Front Door.
Carefully removed by professional fitters.
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Excellent/ very clean condition both sides.
- Not bowed or rotted at all.
- The paint is worn/weathered on either side, as is expected on antique wooden doors. Both sides would benefit from being repainted.
- There is a small crack in the glazing (see photos), which could be replaced by a competent glazier.
- Wood is chipped slightly on one corner (see photos) which could be filled and touched up.
Missing Parts
- There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
- Main lock would need to be changed as there is no key
Security
- Multipoint ‘Yale’ and ‘ERA’ locking system making it very secure.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the left when viewing from the outside.
- Hinges/ locks could be altered (holes may need to be filled) if you wanted the door opening/ operating another way.
Glazing
- Glazing is single glazed, distorted.
- Has Georgian Bars externally & internally giving a high-quality appearance. These cannot be removed, so if you required completely clear glass, you would need to replace all the units.
- Has leaded pattern design externally & internally on the glazing.
- Stain glass (Helps to regulate a buildings temperature, increases privacy and offers sun protection).
- Decorative leaded glass, design on the glazing.
Colour
- The colour externally and internally is White.
- Has matching Silver coloured furniture.
