1930s Original reclaimed/antique Wooden Timber, Front Door.
Carefully removed by professional installers.
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Not bowed or rotted at all.
- Cosmetic paint chips in places, but these are normal with older wooden doors – nothing a sanding down and repainting wouldn’t cover.
- Screw holes externally and internally (see photo), but these could be easily filled and touched up.
- Small wood split on one edge (see photo). But a competent carpenter would be able to resolve this.
Missing Parts
- There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
- Missing letter box (see photo),however a new letterbox can be purchased online and are easy to install.
Security
- Has bolt locks on the inside for extra security.
- Multi-point ‘Chubb’ and ‘Yale’ locks would need to be replaced, as there are no keys for either lock.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the left when viewing from the outside.
- Hinges/ locks could be altered (holes may need to be filled) if you wanted the door opening/ operating another way.
Glazing
- Glazing is original single glazed, distorted, and stained.
- Has a leaded pattern with each pane individually glazed, making them easier to replace if broken.
Colour
- The colour externally is Yellow and internally is White. However, this can easily be stripped down and repainted in your choice of colour.
- Hinges are painted white.
