Antique/Reclaimed Solid Oak Front Door, bespoke made to a high quality.
Carefully removed by professional fitters.
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Not bowed or rotted at all.
- The wood is weathered on both sides (see photos), and could benefit from being sanded down and re-varnished.
- Two panels of glazing are cracked (see photos), however they are individually glazed so this could be easily replaced by a competent glazier.
- Small split on the external side of the door (see photos), but this can be repaired by competent carpenter.
Missing Parts
- There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
- Main lock would need to be changed as there is no key.
- Missing letterbox, handles, hinges and locking mechanism (see photos), however these are all available to purchase online and are easy to fit.
Security
- There are no locks and keys for this door, however these are all available to purchase online.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the right when viewing from the outside.
- Hinges/ locks could be altered (holes may need to be filled) if you wanted the door opening/ operating another way.
Glazing
- Glazing is single glazed, distorted, with crown design in three of the panels.
- Each pane is separately glazed, making it easier to replace any if required and offers extra security. It also gives that high quality appearance with the leaded Georgian Bars externally and internally.
Colour
- This item has been varnished both externally and internally, showing the natural wood grain throughout.
