Antique Hardwood Front Door With Sidelight
1930s Original reclaimed/antique Gothic-style Wooden (Hardwood) Front Door complete with a sidelight.
Carefully removed by professional fitters.
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Odd faint/ light mark in places, but nothing exactly noticeable. Overall still its in excellent condition both sides.
- Not bowed or rotted at all.
- The external side is slightly weathered, as you may expect to see on an antique wooden door. The door could benefit from being re-varnished.
Security
- Has shoot-bolt locks on the inside for extra security.
- 4 point ‘Chubb’ and ‘Union’ locking system making it very secure.
- Comes with 3 keys.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the right when viewing from the outside.
- Hinges/ locks could be altered (holes may need to be filled) if you wanted the door opening/ operating another way.
Sidelight / Window
- There is one sidelight of width 47cm which can be cut off, leaving just the door frame width of 87.6cm.
Glazing
- Glazing is 18mm thick double glazed, frosted, toughened with metal silver spacer bar, Low E, filled with Argon gas for extra efficiency.
- The original single-pane glass has been replaced with modern frosted double glazing on the sidelight, which provides increased insulation and added privacy.
- There is no condensation occurring inside the panes.
Colour
- Original Solid Oak woodgrain shows both sides.
- The handles are Black wrought iron and the hinges are Solid Brass.
