Traditional/Antique Style (1930s Modern Replica) Hardwood varnished Front Door.
Has decorative Wrought Iron Handle, Escutcheon (with a lion’s head design), and Letter Box installed externally, giving the door that Antique/Traditional look.
Bespoke made by a professional joinery company to a very high standard.
Would cost around £1,000 if you were to order bespoke direct (when complete with frame).
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Excellent/ very clean condition both sides.
- Not bowed or rotted at all.
- Screw holes in place of previous address number externally and light chips in a corner (see last photo), however, these can either be hidden with suitable furniture or be filled and touched up.
Missing Parts
- There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
- One Hinge and internal letter box cover are missing, however, these can be purchased online at a low expense and fitted easily.
Security
- Multi-point ‘Yale’ and ‘Chubb’ locking systems.
- Main locks would need to be changed as there are no keys.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the left when viewing from the outside.
Colour
- This door has been professionally varnished on both sides. This offers a tough and resilient coating, requiring no maintenance, whilst still showing the original woodgrain throughout.
- The handles are black wrought iron and the hinges are solid brass.
