1930s Reclaimed Wooden Hardwood Front Door.
Carefully removed by professional fitters.
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Excellent/ very clean condition both sides.
- Not bowed at all.
- There is a small amount of rot of the bottom of the door, however this could be treated and restored by a competent carpenter.
- There are a few screw holes on the external side and a small chip on the side of the door, however, these could be filled and touched up.
- There are a few paint samples on both sides, and the paint is worn/chipped in a few areas (as is expected on reclaimed wooden items). This item could benefit from being sanded and repainted.
Missing Parts
- There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
- Main lock would need to be changed as there is no key.
- The internal letter box cover is missing, however a new one could be purchased online and is easy to fit.
Security
- Multi point locking system making it very secure.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the right when viewing from the outside.
- This door could be altered to open the other way (holes would need to be filled).
Glazing
- Glazing is original single glazed, distorted.
Colour
- The colour externally is Green and internally is White.
- The colour of the handles is Chrome and the hinges are Solid Brass.
