1930s Original reclaimed/antique Hardwood Front Door in Green, bespoke made to a very high standard.
Carefully removed by professional fitters.
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Not bowed or rotted at all.
- This door has some chipping around the edges (see photos), however this is only cosmetic and nothing a sand down and repaint wouldn’t cover.
- The base panel on the interior is slightly split (see photos) this is only cosmetic and could be rectified by a competent carpenter.
- Has its original ornate Solid Brass letterbox cover.
Missing Parts
- There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
- Escutcheons for one of the two locks are missing, which can be purchased online at a low expense and are easy to fit.
Security
- Has bolt locks on the inside for extra security.
- Multipoint ‘Yale’ and ‘Chubb’ locking system making it very secure.
- Comes with 4 keys for each lock.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the left when viewing from the outside.
- Hinges/ locks could be altered (holes may need to be filled) if you wanted the door opening/ operating another way.
Glazing
- Glazing is original single glazed, and distorted with a decorative pattern.
Colour
- The colour externally is painted Green and internally is painted White.
- The hinges are Solid Brass, painted White.
