1930s Original reclaimed/antique front door.
Carefully removed by professional installers.
Condition
- Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
- Excellent/ very clean condition both sides.
- Not bowed or rotted at all.
- Few screw holes and light chip on the top both corners (see photo), these can be easily be filled.
- Small chips and screw holes on the top corner in places that are normal with older wooden doors, it can easily be filled.
- Two screws are poking out from the letter box inside, but would not effect the operation of the product at all and your fitter may be able to cut/grind these down.
Missing Parts
- There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
- Handles, and Internal Letter box cover are missing, however, these can be purchased online.
Security
- ‘Chubb’ and ‘Yale’ locks installed, however these need to be changed as there is no key for either lock.
Opening
- The door opens inwards to the left when viewing from the outside.
- Could be adjusted to open the other way round by moving the hinges.
Glazing
- Glazing is original single glazed, distorted.
Colour
- The colour externally and internally is painted White. However, it can easily be stripped down and be repainted in your choice of colour.
- The colour of the hinges are Silver, but are painted white.
